FIRST RICE - HELP OUR REFUGEE FAMILIES WITH FOOD

When Burmese families arrive it takes 7-12 days for them to get a steady
source of food. We'd like to assist World Relief with feeding these
families.

On Sunday, 10/4 we will be collecting 10 lb+ bags of rice for these refugee
families. If you have a membership, Sam's and Costco sell the larger bags
of rice at a good price. Jasmine rice tends to be popular among the Burmese.

There will be a designated spot in the foyer for the rice. We will collect
rice on 10/4 only.

COSTUME CARNIVAL CANDY TIME!

It's that time again! The Costume Carnival will be coming up soon, and we
need LOTS and LOTS of candy! We actually ran out last year, and we don't
want that to happen again!

So, please bring in bags of candy to be handed out to all the community
children who come to the carnival! We need ALL KINDS of candy! Chocolate!
Lollipops! Hard Candy! Smarties! And any other kind you can think of!

There will be a collection pool in the Main Foyer beginning THIS Sunday!

Also, keep an ear out for volunteer opportunities soon! There will be a
sign-up board in the Main Foyer in the coming weeks!

OAK HOLLOW THRIFT STORE NEEDS DONATIONS

after your yard sale! Pick up is available by calling 886-8716.

Starting Oct. 5th, we will be looking for volunteers to join us at 8am on
Mondays and Tuesdays. If you can come for 1 hour or two after dropping your
child off to school, that will help us greatly. Please email the thrift
store at FWthriftstore@northstate.net or call 886-8716.
