However, we want to make sure that if you came out and worked with FWC, you still get a shirt. We’re going to be placing a final order early next week and if you’d like a shirt, we need your name, and your shirt size. Please just respond to this email with that information and we’ll make sure that one is ordered for you. High School Seniors and older are welcome! First Friday is NOT just for Young Adults and college students! Paul had warned that this would happen in Acts 20:29-31. Timothy was chosen by Paul to help restore right doctrine so that the church could truly be what God intended. This corrective epistle also applies to us today as the church’s foundational doctrines continue to be attacked. So, if you are doing some Spring Cleaning, feel free to bring your donations by!--------------------------------------SENIOR ADULT NEWSSENIOR ADULT LUNCHEONThe next Senior Adult luncheon is coming up on April 14th at 12 noon at the Farlow-Kennedy Center. The Happy Tones 25 voice choir will bring us a celebration in music. Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A. The cost of the luncheon will be $5 per person. Our theme this year is “HOPE for the World, Ministering to Others” with Dr. Jo Anne Lyon, the Wesleyan Church General Superintendent and Founder of World Hope International. Instead, they are meeting on April 24 at 4pm for a hot dog supper at the home of Keith Stradley and then will be leaving from his house and going to Trinity High School for a concert with "The Morning" and guest speaker and author of the book "Hero," Derwin Gray.The ladies are invited to this event! Please see Amanda Taylor or Erika Ratliff on the second floor. Amanda said that she still has approximately 100 bracelets still on hand with a pending order for more.All monies collected for the bracelets go toward the Meris’ expenses. His medications and treatments are very costly. Please join us in praying for Jimmy and Wendy! If you would like to purchase a bracelet, Don Bulla will have some with him at church on Sunday!---------------------------------------NC EAST DISTRICT NEWSRIDE TO VICTORY!On Saturday, May 1 from noon-3pm, join the NC East District Wesleyan Bike Ride (motorcycles & show cars)! The ride will provide scholarship money for boys & girls to go to district children’s and youth camps. Register by April 25 with pastordarrell@ncewesleyan.com or call 886-7729. Bikes are $20 ($30 for double riders) and Show Cars are $30.The ride will begin at the NC East District Office (right in front of FWC) and end at Victory Mountain Camp. A cookout lunch will be served ($5 per plate) at the camp after the ride ends, followed by a Victory Celebration!KIDS – MAY FUN DAYOn Saturday, May 8 from 10am – 2pm, The NC East District will have ‘May Fun Day’ at Victory Mountain Camp. The event is FREE! Bring your own lunch and drink, and Ice Cream will be provided!
