FWC CHRISTMAS PROGRAM:
A 1940’S CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING
On December 11 at 7pm, FWC will present ‘A 1940’s Christmas Homecoming!’

Lt. Edwin Berry is stationed overseas during World War II and has been chosen to celebrate Christmas with his wife and children for a special homecoming. He is later called upon by his commander for a special (and dangerous) mission to save lives, which only he can fulfill, making his homecoming impossible. Join us as the true meaning of Christmas is dramatically illustrated!

“A 1940’s Christmas Homecoming” is filled with upbeat, big band arrangements bringing the period fully to life, along with carols and beautiful songs of reassurance. They remind us that in the midst of dark times, God is in complete control and “all is calm, all is bright.”

Tickets are $5.00 and will be available Sunday after church in the Main Foyer. Net proceeds will benefit the USO.

Tickets are also being sold at the Bicycle Toy and Hobby Shop on North Main Street in High Point and the Oak Hollow Thrift Shop.

Please be alert to the new church driveway/traffic lane changes that should be completed by this weekend, November 13/14!

There will be an enlarged painted island when coming in from Westchester Drive, starting near the Rite Aid entrance. The new two-way church driveway of the parking lot will be to the LEFT of the painted island, continuing LEFT of the first parking lot island before continuing, as before, toward the rear of the church.

A new, single, one way drive lane will lead under the canopies, branching off from the new main church driveway, which is suitable for passenger drop-off and pick-up.

FWC ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETINGMay 16 at 6:00pm
What is our annual business meeting?
It’s a Concert of PrayerIt’s a Celebration of WorshipIt’s a Conference to select our leadersIt’s a Connection for the fellowship
This won’t be the typical boring, stuffy church business meeting. We are going to join together to celebrate what God is doing among us by singing, worshipping and praising God. We are going to join together in a concert of prayer to seek God’s direction and blessing for our church. We’ll hear exciting testimonies of God’s power in the lives of our people. We’ll select our leaders for the coming year and to top off the evening, we’ll share in fellowship over homemade ice cream! Yum!
This is a time for our entire church family—members, as well as non-members. You may wonder why you should come if you aren’t a member of the church. Here’s why—you’ll get to see who our new leaders are; we value your prayers during the evening so that the voting will reflect God’s will; and you’ll get to hear from the different pastors and ministry leaders what is happening in the life of the church. In addition we are going to give a preview of our exciting fall kick off, coming in September. Child care for nursery and preschool age children will be provided.
Registration for members at the door. Worship begins at 6.
