Dear Parents and 3rd through 5th Graders-
We have invited some special guests to speak to you and your children THIS Sunday, January 24th at 9:30am in 85 Z Street (Room 107). Rev. Eric & Amber Coulter will be joining us to talk to the kids and their parents about Missions.
The Coulters have served with Global Partners since graduation from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2001. They have served in Swaziland, South Africa for the 2003-2004 years as interns where they experienced both bible college teaching and pastoral care of a struggling church. From those two varied experiences, they felt God leading them to church planting work among an unreached people group. In summer 2006, they first arrived in Durres, Albania to join Global Partners missionaries in starting a Wesleyan church among the Albanian people.
Joining Eric & Amber this Sunday will be their 4 children, Philip, Zane, Elise and Suzana (ages 9 – 1 year old). Their children have assisted in the ministry of their parents by breaking down barriers and opening many new channels of relationship.
We have been encouraging the children to raise money around the house by doing chores so they can participate in an offering to support the Coulters’ Ministry.
This is a great opportunity to introduce our kids to the importance of Missions. We hope you and your children will join us THIS Sunday, at 9:30am.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Dear Friend,

Our brothers and sisters in Haiti have been hit by the largest earthquake the area has seen since the 1700's.

As day broke this morning, it became apparent that much of Port-Au-Prince and its surrounding areas have been reduced to rubble. Communications remain sketchy due to severely damaged infrastructure, but the early reports are not good.

The Red Cross is estimating that 3 million people have been affected by the major 7.0 magnitude earthquake and its after-shocks. Haiti's Presidential Palace, their White House equivalent, is in ruins, and Haiti's first lady has reported that "Port-Au-Prince has been destroyed."

WHI has 60 staff working in Haiti, many of whom live and work in Port-Au-Prince. We have just heard from WHI country representative Thony Querette. He said he is ok, and asked for prayer. We do not know the status of our other staff in the capital area.

We also received word from Global Partners missionaries and a team from McLean Bible Church located in Petit-Goave, and they are ok.

WHI also has nearly 400 sponsored children in Haiti. We are in the process of determining their status and will communicate more as we are able.

While we are not first responders (fire, emergency, rescue) we are preparing to respond with food, water, cooking fuel, tarps...whatever we can to help survivors cope and begin restoring a sense of normalcy to their lives. Most importantly, we want to express the love of Christ and provide comfort and hope. We will update the website with specific action plans as they take shape over the coming hours and days.

In the meantime, please pray with us and for our people in Haiti and donate to our relief effort.

God bless you, let us pray and work together to aid our Haitian brothers and sisters in need.
